How the program works

The QNX OIL Program member designation rewards you with the opportunity to get easy, low-cost access to QNX automotive technologies. As a member you’ll receive a full suite of QNX software tools, value-added development kits, and source code — everything you need to build your next-generation in-car systems. You’ll be able to tap into our extensive technical expertise — 25 years of embedded technology — as well as develop your “mobile futures” with our reliable and leading-edge products and extensive dedicated support. We’ll also grant you yearly licenses, on a per project basis, to use our automotive technologies, free of charge, to qualifying not-for-profit automotive research programs.

There is no cost to participate in the QNX OIL Program, however, members are required to purchase the 50-hour support plan and commit to achieve certain program requirements such as:

How to apply

Simply submit a proposal using our Guidelines for Submission that explains your research project details. After your application is reviewed and qualified, you will receive notification from our automotive management team on how to obtain your software and welcome kit.
