Error Installing on Localized Versions of Windows Vista   ________________________________________________________________________ Applicable Environment ________________________________________________________________________ Topic: SDP installation SDP: 6.4.0, 6.4.1 Host: Windows Vista ________________________________________________________________________ Recommendation ________________________________________________________________________ When trying to install a localized version of Windows Vista the following error message appears: "An unhandled error occurred--specify system property "-is.debug" for more information" The workaround includes extracting java from the native installer launcher, then running the installer with the special java parameter. Also, it's important for Windows Vista to have the UAC disabled. Here is the workaround: 1) UAC must be disabled (if it is enabled, it will cause installation to fail) 2) <installer>.exe -is:extract 3) windows-sun-1.5.0.exe 4) bin\java -Duser.language=en -cp qnx_win32_setup.jar run Note: Fixed in: 6.5.0 ________________________________________________________________________ NOTE: This entry has been validated against the SDP version listed above.
